Having a baby is a life changing experience. From the first moment that small, warm bundle is placed in your arms you know you want to give it the brightest future possible. Starting a family may be the first time we stop and seriously think about what we are eating and using in our homes, and how we want to shape our lives.

We all want our families to be healthy so many new parents begin to choose organic. In so doing we are helping to make a healthy world for future generations.

It’s natural

Organic food is produced as nature intended. Controversial substances such as aspartame, tartrazine and hydrogenated fats are all banned. So, also, is a huge range of potentially allergenic or harmful additives.

Organic farming is kinder to the environment and works with nature, not against it. Research also shows that it’s more beneficial for birds, butterflies and other wildlife. Farm animals are reared humanely and not routinely fed antibiotics to suppress disease or promote growth.

This brings us nicely full circle. The food you’re putting in your child’s mouth can actually help create a better world for them to grow up in.

Not just organic food, organic life

In this section you will find loads of advice and tips on how you and your family can lead a more ‘organic’ lifestyle.

If you’re pregnant and want to eat organically, we have the advice you need. And as your family grows you can follow our weaning and feeding advice.

There are fun learning activities for you to enjoy together, plus the adventures of Mole – our animated friend who goes on a new journey every month.

Once your child reaches school age you might like to know about school meals and the pioneering work of Jeanette Orrey, and what you can do if your school meals could do with improving.
